Celebrating Auntie Renee's Birthday....and can you believe London is 5 months old?!

We celebrated Auntie Renee's birthday at The Yardhouse in Chino Hills, YAY 5 minutes away from us! It was an all girls lunch, we had a good time talking and enjoying each others company. London and Ava enjoyed spending time with the family. London was so good as she was passed around the table! Ava was happy to help Auntie Renee open her gifts. It was a great afternoon and we were happy we could make it.

Our London also turned 5 months on Sunday November 14th. How time flies! She is such a happy baby she wakes up that way and goes to sleep the same, never fussy and so quiet. She now rolls over from her back to her stomach, then back again! It is cute to see her looking at Ava, as soon as she sees her she gets the biggest smile and doesn't take her eyes off of her.

Celebrating Halloween

I LOVE all Holidays, they give me a reason to decorate and celebrate with Family and Friends! This Halloween was celebrated on a couple of days, on Thursday London and I went to Cousin Cameron's School Parade, and Classroom Party. Cameron was so excited to see London...her Auntie Ange..not so much...SHOCKER!!!  Halloween Day we had Family and Friends come to our house for Trick-or-Treating and Chili. We had a full house, The Cornell's x2, The Ortiz', The Fox's, The Ruiz', The Rodriguez', Uncle Brian, Leslie and Grandma Gail.  Ava was excited for our "Halloween Party", she was a little bummed the adults didn't dress up too!

Ava was super excited she was able to carve the pumpkin on her own this year, well kinda, she did need a little help! Lonnie drew the face and let Ava do the rest. She was very proud of her pumpkin! It was a great family night filled with chicken fajitas, yummy apple pie, vanilla bean ice cream and champagne!

Look at that concentration...I love it!!

Even London got to join in on the pumpkin fun

Sisters

Yesterday I walked into the girl's room to see Ava in London's crib (again!) with London. Ava was putting on a puppet show for her sister. Such a sweet moment to capture on camera, how could I be mad at Ava, even if we have told her a million times to stay out of her crib! I am so proud of Ava and how she has become such a great big sister. She amazes me how much she enjoys teaching London new things, she taught London how to say "ah-goo". When London finally did say it Ava was full of praise, clapping and smiling. While I was pregnant Ava would always ask "What does a sister do?". My response would always be "It's what Auntie and I do". I am glad she is learning what a sister relationship/bond should be, by following our example. I would be lost without my sister and hope Ava will feel the same about London.....((insert tears!!)) First Family Blog

I have seen and heard of people blogging and decided it was time for our family to have one! Between Ava's funny stories, my trips to the Emergency room, Lonnie's reptiles and London's arrival to this family, I am sure ours will be worthy of reading! My hope is that our kids will have something to read and look back on when they are older and eventually contribute to.
